In order for the Kalido family of products to operate correctly and qualify for Technical Support, various components require specific versions of software that come from other software providers. The information provided here defines the supported environments that have been verified by Magnitude.
Many of the components that come from other software providers have their own supported version guidelines. Typically, we will verify against new releases (functional and maintenance) from those providers in the next Kalido release (functional and maintenance). In addition, Magnitude will support a component from another provider for the same period as the provider, dropping support at the same time.
Please see links below each product component for information on the supported environment for recent product releases.
Kalido Dynamic Information Warehouse
The Kalido Dynamic Information Warehouse (DIW) product consists of a set of components that are deployed in a 3 tier configuration. Each component has specific software and hardware requirements. Please contact Magnitude for assistance in scoping your full environment’s hardware needs.
Platform Support: Kalido Dynamic Information Warehouse V11 Release 3Kalido Master Data Management
The Kalido Master Data Management (MDM) product consists of a set of components that are deployed in a multi-tier configuration. Each component has specific software and hardware requirements. Please contact Magnitude for assistance in scoping your full environment’s hardware needs.
Platform Support: Kalido Master Data Management V11 Release 3Kalido Business Information Modeler
The Kalido Business Information Modeler is actually two applications that are installed independently:
- Modeler application
The Modeler consists of the user interface, business logic, serialization components and export adapters. Application users may design, save, and open information models independently of other Kalido products. The Modeler user interface employs the Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and the Microsoft .NET framework. The Business Information Modeler Installation Guide includes instructions for obtaining and installing .NET. - Model Exchange Service (MXS)
The MXS is an adapter between the Modeler and both Kalido Dynamic Information Warehouse and Kalido Master Data Manager. This component is required to extract and deploy DIW and MDM models with the Modeler application.
Model exchange can occur throughout the information management life cycle. For example, a model can be deployed to a DIW instance, extracted from the warehouse and refined in the Modeler, then redeployed.
Platform Support: Kalido Business Information Modeler V11 Release 3Kalido Universal Information Director

Kalido Universal Information Director brings the power of the Kalido business model to drive BI tools throughout the enterprise, and helps to keep reports and analyses up-to-date with underlying changes to the warehouse. Please contact Magnitude for assistance in scoping your full environment’s hardware needs.
Kalido Universal Information Director consists of the following software components: Model configuration logic and User Interface; Integration Services, through which Universal Information Director requests services from Kalido DIW; and Metadata bridge capable of exporting models to a number of BI applications.
