King County Lists Noetix as a Best Workplace for Recycling and Waste Reduction

BWP-honor-roll-2013_190x220Noetix has been selected for King County’s annual list of Best Workplaces for Recycling and Waste Reduction for the fifth consecutive year.  King County’s Solid Waste Division initiated the list seven years ago to recognize businesses for strong internal recycling programs and for their commitment to making recycling a priority for their companies.

“We welcome Noetix to our Best Workplaces Honor Roll for having been a great workplace for recycling for the fifth consecutive year,” said Karen May, project manager, Recycling and Environmental Services at King County Solid Waste Division.  “Keep up the good work, Noetix!”

Currently in its sixth year, the Noetix Green Committee has transformed the company by making recycling and waste reduction a top priority.  Noetix currently recycles all paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum products, as well as batteries, plastic grocery bags, cell phones, and compact fluorescent bulbs (CFL).  Noetix also composts all food scraps, coffee grounds, and coffee filters, as well as corn-based plates, bowls, and utensils.

“We have worked hard to make the Honor Roll for King County’s Best Workplace for Recycling listing,” said Mark Verner, business and operations manager at Noetix.  “Noetix Green Committee initiatives have impacted every aspect of our business and are a cornerstone of our corporate culture.”
