Finally: Analyst Coverage of Data Warehouse Automation

In response to my colleague Stephen Pace’s blog post about the lack of a “magic quadrant” for data warehouse automation, we’re happy to report that industry analyst coverage of this growing market segment has finally occurred!

While it has taken several years to come about, we are happy to promote the fact that Wayne Eckerson of Eckerson Group has published a Data Warehouse Automation Tools market overview, and a vendor profile for each of the covered players in the report. Wayne was an early proponent of data warehouse automation (DWA), when back in 2009 he hosted a webcast on the topic when he was director of research at TDWI – which, incidentally, now offers a course on data warehouse automation. This is a big shift and welcome recognition that the technical & business benefits of automating what is largely a manual process justify a new look and approach to achieving success from data warehousing.  Eckerson Group - Research Report

Rather than recap the report, I encourage you to download it for free from our website. With a short registration, you’ll get a two-for-one – we’re offering the market report as well as the vendor profile on the Kalido DWA product.

If your current, traditionally-developed data warehouse isn’t keeping pace with your business rate of change, isn’t it worth seeing if there is a better way?
